At the heart of NEC's activities is the goal of building a better future. We would like to be part of the solution to these global challenges, trying to alleviate them even if only a little at a time. Thus, we aspire to help create a better and prosperous society to pass on to the future generations who will be playing a key role in the 21st century.
NEC embraces volunteer work, environmental preservation, social welfare activities and support for artistic, cultural and sporting activities, in our commitment to corporate citizenry.
NEC has lent support to the Davis Cup, thoroughbred racing and to Wheelchair Tennis. We have also been the Official Technology Partner to the Australian F1 Grand Prix, the Western Bulldogs and Victorian Country Racing.
Also as strong supporters of youth, NEC has been involved in the Young Achievement Australia program for a number of years.
Culturally, we initiated and sponsor the NEC Go Tournament. Go, said to be the world's oldest board game, is akin to chess and appeals to all ages and backgrounds.
NEC is a strong supporter of the Bone Marrow Donor Institute through major sponsorships of the Lap for Leukemia, Deano's BMDI Walk for Charity and Boonie's Walk for Hope. NEC has also recently supported the Dream Ward at the Royal Children's Hospital through the donation of product.
NEC both locally and internationally is committed to making a difference through their Make a Difference Day. Activities undertaken by NEC Australia include Christmas Tree Angel appeal for the Child and Family Care Network.
Educationally, NEC supports both Melbourne University and Monash University through sponsorships and awards along with many donations to local schools, day cares and kindergartens.
At NEC Australia, our strong sense of responsibility to the community which makes us successful as an organisation drives our community programs.
