NEC Business Solutions has been conferred with Cisco Gold Partner accreditation, underlining its commitment to providing the industry’s best end-to-end communication solutions.

A market leader in enterprise voice solutions for almost 40 years, NEC is now able to provide a greater range of industry-leading Cisco data products to its customers at more competitive prices.

Sean O’Halloran, NEC’s Group General Manager – Sales & Marketing, said: “NEC now has access to an even richer portfolio of products from which we can develop solutions that fit our customers’ needs, and not the other way around.”

In order to achieve Cisco Gold status, NEC had to demonstrate its data expertise right across the business, from the capability of sales and technical staff, to the reliability of internal support structures employed by the business.

O’Halloran said the achievement was proof of NEC’s strength in the converged communications arena.

“The market is recognising that NEC is no longer merely a traditional telephony vendor. The standards for Cisco Gold status are incredibly rigorous. NEC dedicated significant resources to this accreditation, to demonstrate that our converged solutions are developed with the industry’s best products, at the best prices, by the most highly-skilled experts available.

“Our customers are increasingly looking for a communications technology provider that can act as a single point of contact for their complex telephony and networking needs. By working together with Cisco, we’re able to meet those needs by helping business customers improve their productivity and return on investment,” added O’Halloran.

The Cisco program delivers to NEC state-of-the art technical and sales training in the latest Cisco technologies. Cisco Gold Certified Partners are recognised and rewarded for employing some of the industry’s best trained network engineers.
