 The Australian Open is one of Australia’s icon sporting events. First held in 1904 at the Australian Golf Club in Sydney, the Open is steeped in tradition, has consistently attracted the world’s best players and has been described by the greatest player of them all, Jack Nicklaus, as the “fifth” major.
Similar to the Australian Open, the MasterCard Masters has consistently attracted the best players in the world and is always in the top three most watched golfing events in Australia, making it one of the premiere events on the Australian and European PGA Tours.
With the Australian Open held at the Royal Sydney Golf Club and the MasterCard Masters at Huntingdale Golf Club in November, NEC is proud to be a major sponsor of these events.
