I have a previous Xen IPK system and would like to upgrade to IPK II. What equipment can I re-use with this upgrade?
All Dterm Series 70, 75 and 85 handsets, many cards and chassis can be re-used – see your Channel Partner for a detailed assessment.
What applications are supported on the Xen IPK II?
The Xen IPK II supports many different applications, which include (but are not limited to):
- VoIP
- Automated Attendant
- Voicemail
- Unified messaging
- Conference Bridge (16 port)
- Contact Centre with Management Information System
- Computer-telephony integration (CTI)
- Employee productivity tools – PC Attendant, PC Assistant & SmartPhone
- Hotel/Motel features
How can the Xen IPK II’s IP Telephony capability reduce my PSTN trunk requirement and costs at my head office?
The number of PSTN trunks required can be reduced by:
- Moving inter-site call traffic from the PSTN onto the IP WAN network;
- Using IP desktops at remote sites instead of mobile or PSTN phones for calls too and from the office thus moving PSTN traffic onto the IP WAN; and
- Concentrating PSTN traffic at one location and distributing calls to other sites over the IP WAN. This solution will increase PSTN trunk efficiencies compared with each site having PSTN access separately dimensioned.
Can the Xen IPK II be networked over an IP network?
Yes using either SIP or K-CCIS signalling.
Does the Xen IPK II support an IP desktop?
Yes, up to 256 with one PVA card with activation codes applied to turn on IP desktops.
How many ports are supported on a standard and expanded Xen IPK?
Standard supports up the 64 ports and expanded 456 ports.
Does the Xen IPK II have a PC based programming utility?
Yes. It allows user friendly creation of customer configuration files for upload to a customer site, backup of customer data, wizards for programming of features plus a lot more.
